Well I understand exactly how you feel because my honest answer to every question above was Yes for years!  I remember going to a salon for the first time in Hampton Virginia.  I had no idea that it was a co-ed salon and the only thing that divided 2 rows of chairs for the males getting their hair cut by a barber and the women getting styled up by a stylist was a long walk way that led to the shampoo bowls.  

I went in that day to get a short cut 27 piece quick weave which was a very popular style at the time.  After searching online, I had finally conjured up the confidence to book the appointment and show up.  The driving force was convincing myself to endure the possible embarrassment because I would have a nice new look at the end of it all!  Well the look was amazing but that was the worse 2 hours of my life. The stares from not only other women but the men too!  I cringe at how I felt then and I still feel it for all of the people who go through this or similar experiences.

Thinking back on it, you know what made it the absolute worst?  I wish I could have shared that pain and embarrassing situation with my husband but I didn’t and I couldn’t because he also had no idea that I was suffering from hair loss. 

 It was 8 years later when I finally opened up and shared my hair loss with him.  I never told him about that day because I didn't want him or anyone else feeling sorry for me!  So I understand the emotional rollercoaster associated with hair loss because I have over 25 years of experience under my belt.
